Spike Removes TNA IMPACT Monday
Wrestleview is reporting that Spike.com has removed TNA Impact from their Monday, March 1 timeslot. It is now listed under Thursday, March 4 at 9:00PM. If you'll remember, rumors began circulating a few weeks ago that Impact would air on Monday, March 1 and go head-to-head with WWE Raw. No word yet on if Spike removed TNA from their schedule because it won't happen or because they're waiting for TNA to make the announcement themselves.
TNA Set To Stream Against All Odds Online
TNA will be streaming their upcoming PPV, Against All Odds on Sunday, February 14 online via their TNA Video Vault website. The company will be charging viewers $14.99. Bret posted the following on his official website;

WKYT-TV/CWKYT is reporting that the WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view on May 23rd, 2010 has been moved to Detroit, Michigan. The originally announced location was Oakland, California.

Honkey Tonk Man Files Possible Lawsuit On Bischoff, Bubba The Love Sponge, And TNA

To Todd Alan Clem, AKA Bubba the love Sponge:
We have honored your request to remove any of your photos and video from our site. We have a request to make of you. We would like to have copies of all the Eric Bischoff interview segments where he mentions HTM. We feel we are in a strong position to pursue defamation of character from Mr. Bischoff's statements concerning HTM's value to the wrestling industry.
These tapes will be passed on to our attorney for him to decide if we should pursue this issue. Mr. Clem is not a party to this action at this time. Mr. Bischoff who represents TNA as an official and executive of TNA will have to answer for his derogatory remarks much like Mr. Russo had to answer for his words concerning his comments about Hulk Hogan on a WCW broadcast. Mr. Hogan could become a party to this action since he has said he is in charge of the day to day operations of TNA and was on the same segment of Mr. Clem's radio show when the defaming statements were made.

Sonjay Dutt says that he hasn’t ever seen a legend take a young guy underneath his wing. Dutt has never asked a legend how his match was. Jack asks about his working experience with Kevin Nash. Dutt puts over Nash as a “all around great guy” and really helped out the X-Division. Dutt says that the characters was just Vince Russo trying to make comedy and that Lethal’s gimmick fell right in Russo’s lap. When it came to Dutt’s character he enjoyed it and liked that he was finally a heel in TNA. Dutt says that he made some pretty good money on the house show scene when he would collect money.
Dutt says that it was cool at the beginning to work for CZW and John Zandig. Dutt says at the end of his run in CZW a lot of people left the company and it wasn’t like it was before. Dutt also believes it is hard to ignore the hardcore matches that take place in the company, but their were some great matches in the company.
The Guru gimmick evolved into becoming a con man as he was trying to get the girl (So Cal Val). It evolved into a sleaze bag and con man. He didn’t like the whole “peace, love and happiness” type of gimmick.
Dutt really enjoyed the love saga between So Cal Val and Jay Lethal. Dutt says that he and So Cal Val are really good friends to this day. Dutt believes that Val should have been able to continue the angle.
Sonjay says “never say never” when it comes to a return to TNA because “everyone needs a paycheck”.
Dutt enjoys working with Ring of Honor as their aren’t as many restrictions that TNA has. Dutt mentions the ROH show on HD Net on Mondays at 8pm.
Dutt competed in ROH for a short time in 2003/2004 and says that the company has many different wrestlers today then back then but they have a lot of similarities.
Dutt said that it was a “surreal moment” when he went to India for TNA in 2005.
A prank caller chimes in but his prank falls flat as Dutt mentions he used to prank rap stations locally. Dutt says it would be rather to not tell a story as “some things are better left unsaid”.
A caller asks Sonjay Dutt how he feels about Christian stealing his move where he kicks his opponent in the corner. Dutt tells a story about confronting Christian that just has to be heard! You will be surprise with what he has to say on that subject.

Update On Awesome Kong And TNA
Were told the issues between Awesome Kong and Bubba the Love Sponge seem to be resolved after a meeting took place with her, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff reports Prowrestling.net. Kong had initially asked for her release and refused to work the company's UK tour despite being advertised. While they may have not granted her a release, were told there are still some financial issues between Kong and the company. According to reports, Kong was said to be touchy when she noticed how much the company was spending on newcomers and how they couldn't afford to give talent already on the roster raises, especially the TNA Knockouts.

Update On John Cena's MRI
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that John Cena got good news this past week after getting an MRI to check on his neck and back pain. According to the report, the damage to his neck and back wasn't as bad as originally feared. Cena has been taking it easy in the ring as much as possible in the last few weeks and was even pulled from the originally scheduled WWE Championship match at the Royal Rumble PPV where Randy Orton was given the spot instead.
TNA Still Interested In Jim Ross
TNA and Erich Bischoff are currently pushing hard to hook Ross into a TNA deal. Ross' TNA deal expires in March.

John Cena Bashes Hulk Hogan And TNA
John Cena said the following regarding wrestling Hulk Hogan;
"Yes. I just don't think that's going to happen right now. He's too busy wasting his time."
Update On RVD And TNA
The following is being reported by TNA Wrestling News;
Hulk Hogan was a guest on Rob Van Dam's "RVD Radio" show on Wednesday night, which you can listen to at BlogTalkRadio.com/RVDradio. Hogan claimed he was trying to reach RVD directly but agreed to be patched in as a live caller on the show.
Hogan didn't waste any time before telling RVD he needs to join TNA. He said TNA has some serious momentum right now and could really take off if they had RVD ruling the roost."
Van Dam asked Hogan about TNA iMPACT! moving to Monday nights, which Hogan said is "definitely going to happen sooner than later." Hogan said TNA needs RVD's help.
Van Dam said he is very interested in hearing what Hogan has to say about him coming in. Van Dam told Hogan that now is a better time than ever as his wife is healthy, he is healthy and he's not burnt out. RVD said he was curious about coming into TNA and said that he and Hogan should probably do some more talking after the show is over. He mentioned bringing Sabu along with him to TNA.
Hogan said he was on the phone with Jeff Hardy earlier in the day, talking about Van Dam coming to TNA, among other topics. Hogan said he and Hardy have some crazy idea that he "guarantees" will work. Hogan kept saying how much fun everyone is having in TNA. RVD asked Hogan if it was his decision to go back to the four-sided ring and Hogan confirmed it was. Hogan put down the six-sided ring and Van Dam agreed with the decision.

TNA Going To Monday Nights Update

The decision has been made within TNA that iMPACT will be going to Mondays full-time but it's not known yet when those changes will take effect and it's unknown if the show will air from 8-10pm or 9-11pm.
The current plan has TNA taping the show every other week doing a live shot on Monday and taping on Tuesday with the taped show airing the next Monday. Because of the occasional odd number of weeks between pay-per-views, it's possible there will be times there TNA will tape three shows or do a taping where they would fly people in just for one live Monday.
TNA may make the decision to go live every Monday night depending on how low the ratings for taped shows are. iMPACT going to Monday nights has actually been discussed between Hogan, Bischoff, TNA officials and Spike since October of 2009.
TNA's WrestleMania Weekend Plans Revealed
TNA is apparently not going to run shows in Phoenix over WrestleMania weekend. When they cancelled their Canadian shows that had previously been scheduled for that weekend, speculation was that TNA was aiming for Phoenix.
Instead TNA will be running shows in Ozark, AL on March 25 and Columbus, GA on March 26.
ECW Detailed Results!
From The Perspective Of Todd Frizzell
This past Tuesday, ECW presented another addition of their television show, which featured not only the fallout from the Rumble, but a special appearance by Mr. McMahon who was set to discuss the fate of ECW. What is the fate of ECW you ask? Let's get to the review and find out;
I missed the first few minutes of the show, being that I kept turning on SyFy, and was puzzled for I thought I was watching Saturday Night Live or something on a Tuesday! I soon figured out is was only the Abraham Washington show. Yawn. His guest was Christian, who retained his championship at the Rumble. Christian was soon interrupted by Zack Ryder, who had some choice words for Captain Charisma. The two ended up getting into a scuffle, but were quickly separated. Looks like we're going to see a Christian/Ryder ECW Championship feud now. I like the way ECW is going to potentially push the young Ryder as a main event player. Christian and he should have some decent matches as well.
Vance Archer Defeated Shelton Benjamin
Very good match here to start off the evening. Both men, especially Benjamin, looked great. Again, Archer is much more cut out for a matchup like this than a squash. Nice match which told a story as well here. At one point in the match, Benjamin hit a beautiful suicide dive completely clearing the top rope with ease! Damn, this guy's got hops! After a 10 minute back and forth matchup, Archer botched the finish, but then attempted it again by getting the pin with the assistance of the ropes. Nice way to put Archer over as a crafty heel, while at the same time not making Shelton look below par. I still can't believe Shelton isn't the ECW Champion. The guy's got to be the most talented guy on the ECW roster if not the entire WWE, as far as in ring work is concerned.
Yoshi Tatsu Defeated Trent Barreta
Goldust was in the corner of Yoshi, while Croft was in the corner of Barreta. As I have said time and time again, I really enjoy watching the team of Barreta and Crot blossom. The have loads of potential, from their charisma, to their in ring work. Barreta looks particularly keen here, really showing off his athletic side. After another 4 or 5 minutes of back and forth action, Yoshi got the win with a stiff kick to the temple. Personally, I would have really liked to have seen Barreta go over here. I still would love to see a DX/Croft and Barreta feud over the Unified Tag Titles (before HBK and HHH feud). That's just what they need to be thrust into the next level.
Up next, Mr. McMahon strutted to the ring, and announced that ECW would be going off of the air in 3 weeks time. He announced that it would be replaced by an alternate brand, which would revolutionize the WWE forever. This better be good!
After this, Gregory Helms stood in the ring, and introduced Regal and Jackson, who were in sour moods to say the very least! They ended up picking on Helms, showing his recent mugshot up on the tron. Then, the attacked him, with Jackson hitting a vicious uranage. Christian ran out to the ring with a kendo stick in hand, and hit both Regal as well as Jackson with it sending them to the outside in retreat. Nice segment to put Jackson over as a badass heel, while possibly continuing the Christian/Jackson feud. Maybe we'll get a three way at Elimination Chamber between Christian, Jackson, and Ryder???
Christian (C) Defeated Zack Ryder
Just to clarify, this was a non-title matchup. Overall, this was a fairly entertaining matchup, which was both fast paced and story based at the same time. Nice heel tactics by Ryder, as well as face efforts on the behalf of the champ. After about 5 minutes or so, Christian won with the Kill Switch. Maybe Ryder won't be in the title contention after all. LOL! But remember, there may not even be an ECW title contention in 3 weeks, when it is officially taken off of the air to be replace by another brand yet to be revealed.
Overall, this was a fair episode of ECW, with an alright amount of action, as well as several decent segments revolving around the ECW title. But when you think about it, what really matters? ECW will be over with in 3 weeks.
*On a side note, this week's ECW scored an average 1.0 cable rating.

Just in case you missed what we did on Thursday here is a quick review once again:
RF VIDEO has been running all over the city of Philadelphia over the last 24 hours with former WCW World Champion DDP. It all started last night when we kicked off our new DVD series On the Road with Diamond Dallas Page at the Market Street Station where we picked him up. We had our cameras rolling from the time he got off the train until he checked into his 5 star hotel at the Four Seasons. Wait until you see the trouble we caused by filming at the hotel…there are tons of WCW road stories on this DVD as well. You will hear about his troubles with Ric Flair after his book came out and how DDP fixed the situation. What heat did he have with the Undertaker and the WWE office if there was any at all….What happened the first time he talked to Dusty Rhodes…What are his views on the Chris Benoit tragedy? The entire DVD will run over three hours but the main focus of this DVD was his media appearances today in Philadelphia which we were able to capture as well on this DVD from the radio show with Danny Bonaduce and Ukee Washington on Talk Philadelphia to promote his amazing YRG DVD's.
RF VIDEO was granted permission to film everything behind the scenes at the Danny Bonaduce show and we were even there in the studio and filmed his appearance on Dannys show. They talk in great detail about TNA and if DDP would ever go back to the company. The main focus of the appearance was DDP promoting his YRG DVD's which are a must for anybody looking to get in shape. I actually did some of this last night with him in the hotel and its amazing. He also showed me a video which you can check out on his new website that we plugged last night where this one guy who could not even walk can now run and he lost so much weight. We actually will show the footage on this DVD too. Danny was so impressed with the YRG workout that he is going to take it on as well as myself. I am not fat or anything but this program will get you super in shape and give you abs of steal.
Everyone was great at Danny's show and they treated us well. We than went out for Breakfast since his appearance was like at 7AM and we filmed all of our car rides as well. From there we went back to his hotel for more talk with DDP about his YRG programs and of course wrestling talk!! We headed out around 11AM for a private tour of the CBS studio here in Philly. We were able to film all of this as well and we filmed DDP in the green room waiting to go on with Ukee Washington. We also filmed everything behind the scenes with Ukee Washington as his staff was also amazing with us. I met Ukee about 10 years ago when I was on the news for my pro wrestling shopps that I had in this area. He actually remembered our interview together since Steve Austin was also on the same show via satellite. We had DDP and Ukee do a private interview for this DVD as well.
The highlight of the show was DDP teaching the staff how to do YRG once again. You will all be amazed at the results as we are going to really push his YRG products thru this DVD. It's some amazing workouts that really get you results.
The entire day was just amazing and loads of fun. We can't thank everyone enough especially the staff over at CBS and Danny Bonaduce show. I also want to thank DDP who allowed us to take part in this and he really let us into his world over the past 24 hours. If you ever met DDP you know he always goes that extra mile and he was working non stop all day in his hotel on his website and company as he lives for YRG. We can't wait to release this new on the road DVD so you can see a whole new person and see how DDP is outside of the squared circle!!!
