Behind the Scenes at the Bashis an intimate and unvarnished look at the life of a professional wrestler. "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin takes you on an all-access tour backstage at the Great American Bash. Featuring original footage shot by Garvin himself, you will see a lot of the biggest stars of the 80s at their most candid. You see the camaraderie that the people that lived this life experienced. The fact that this group of wrestlers spent so much time together travelling an unbelievably grueling schedule did bond them. The DVD captures the intimacy of backstage life. It shows the highs, the jokes, the friendship, etc. while at the same time giving you an idea of how difficult this insane amount of travel was.

Unique, but .... (Kayfabe Abe)

I was really jazzed when I first heard that a video like this even existed. FINALLY! A REAL behind the scenes look at the wrestlers that I grew up watching on TBS, every Saturday night at 6:05. Well, first off, it runs only thirty minutes. Secondly, it seems that at least half the video is of Road Warrior Hawk all fired up on ... something, and constantly screaming about ... nothing. I was hoping for SO much more. That being said, if you're already here at the RF video website, you're a mark, like me, and HAVE to add this video to your collection. There is simply no other video like this, anywhere. Just wait for one of their sales to purchase it.

if this is the same one i got its on for 30 mins but wow i found out alot of things where to hide the blade i cant wait for next ep and i will defiently be buying each of thse so theres some funny backstage and hawk of road warriors is shown alot and this is a high point of being a wrestler it seems grea backstage cheers and keep these eps coming just wish it was on for longer

this was a good dvd, but it was really short! hawk talks a lot in this dvd, but it was cool to see what the guys did to entertain each other...not too sure if it was worth the money

This video instantly took me back to my child hood but this time I was back stage with some of the biggest stars of the NWA. It was so cool to get to see all the stars just hanging out kicking it. This video gives you a great feel of how it was back in those days of wrestling. I never thought i would be able to see back stage video footage from time that kayfabe was still in affect. The only bad thing I can say about this video is the time length is a little short, other then that a must have. Great work Jimmy!!!!!

GREAT but Wish it was Longer

I got this DVD directly from Jimmy Garvin's site a couple of years ago and it is excellent and very entertaining. You get to see all the stars goofing off, such as the Road Warriors, Nikita, Dr Death, Sting, and more.. It also looks like Hawk had just snorted some "white gold" as he's shown clearing his nose in that tell=tale way. Jim Cornette has a good rant at the end about Crockett's legendary cheapness as well. I do wish it was longer, as I could watch this kind of stuff forever. My one question that I wrote to Jimmy Garvin directly was "Where in all of this was Ric Flair?" His response: "Probably with his head up Crockett's ass, like always." That's GOLD.
