As has been mentioned if your purchasing this set for pure wrestling, might wanna look elsewhere, however if your purchasing this for nostalgic purposes then this is an amazing set. In the first set of Hardcore TV episodes one of the highlights is the feud between "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert and the "Living Legend" Terry Funk which leads up to the Texas Chain Match Massacre. Would recommend to any ECW fan.

AWESOME COLLECTION!!! For those who would like to see how the real E.C.W. began, than here it is! E.C.W. in its rawest form! This is not Vince's E(xtremely)C(rappy)W(restling)! RF Video did A great job editing out all the junk commercials & leaving the original ECW commercials! The only probelm is there is little is little "break" between shows & no main menu to skip right to the episode you may want to see! Otherwise still worth 10 out of 5 stars easy! westcoast--ecwfan

Good Collection

I got this in the mail today. I ordered all 13 DVDs with the first 70+ episodes. You're getting 3 disks per package with 6 full shows per package. You're getting the television beginnings, momentum pick ups, story lines, and match ups that helped make ECW go from a small independent promotion in the Northeast to a Semi National and International cult phenomenon. In this set you get the creation of the ECW TV Title and a look at then current champion The Sandman before his hardcore roots came through. Wrestling legends such as Terry Funk, Jimmy Snuka, Eddie Gilbert, and the British Bulldog all went to ECW at one time or another with then Indy sensations like Rockin' Rebel, Tommy Cario, Sal Ballemo, and other countless wrestlers who either passed through or stayed around to help Todd Gordon and ECW rise to prominence through the NWA days to standing on their own two feet. National syndication from Sports Channel Philly to TV markets all over the country between Cable and Air TV. Only downside is Joey Styles wasn't the first voice of ECW.. But he sure did make it more believable than the two schmoes who began it. Overall good historical collection by the folks here at RF this collection is a must have for those who always wanted to collect television programs from a beloved promotion. Buy them all on VHS or DVD!

The televised beginning of what would become Extreme Championship Wrestling... Pros: Terry Funk, Paul E. Dangerously debuts, Eddie Gilbert, Rockin Rebel playing the classic old-school heel Cons: the matches are not really anything worthwhile and with the exception of the Funk/Gilbert feud, none of the storylines really catch on Reccomended for wrestling historians and for those who wanted to see ECW's humble beginnings
