A guy who stayed in ECW as the ship was sinking, who gave his body to the fans, in a brutal series of matches against World Champion Mike Awesome and Television Champion Rhino, taking some of the sickest bumps in the history of the promotion.

The short version of what happened last night is that late in the show, WWE and Spike came to an agreement where WWE promised Spike they would not say anything negative about the network, and would praise them as their broadcast partner, and in return, Spike would not edit the rest of the show.

Speaking of Warrior, WWE got an answer from a Warrior rep on their invitation for him to be on Byte This, saying the only reason Warrior wasn't in the WWE documentary was because Vince refused to be in Warrior's documentary, and in response, they buried him. The rep said Warroir would respond, but on his time. WWE again claimed they wanted Warrior to call in to Byte This this week. Not that Warrior is sane, but WWE comes off so pathetic trying to be righteous and inviting the guy on when they buried him just to produce a controversial video.

WWE's final broadcast on Spike TV last night was very interesting to say the least with the numerous amounts of edits by Spike officials whenever the "e;USA Network"e; name was dropped on TV. Even though it is obvious to say that Spike didn't want WWE plugging another event on a different channel on their network, Spike also wanted to keep the large audience RAW brings in every week for their UFC coverage next week. That plan might not appear to be as strong as thought before given the large amount of advertising WWE has done about the move to USA. It should be noted that WWE officials were 100% aware that Spike didn't want them dropping the "e;USA"e; name at any time during the broadcast, as WWE did their best to get around it and quickly say it before it could be edited out. It was also discovered late last night that some type of a deal was made between WWE and Spike that saw Spike "e;lay off the censor button"e; for the main event.

Even though a good amount of buzz will be surrounding WWE upon their return to USA next week on October 3rd, they are a good amount of WWE staff and wrestlers that feel the company is overloading the show and in turn will cost them some serious money in the end. The general feeling among many is that the company is setting the bar very high for the show next week and many have questioned giving away PPV-like matches for the show such as Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle in a 30 Minute Iron Man Match and Matt Hardy vs. Edge in a "e;Money in the Bank - Loser Leaves RAW"e; Ladder Match. The decision to bring in some SmackDown workers to the show next week as well has some scratching their head considering WWE only has two weeks left to promote the No Mercy PPV on October 9th. Keeping in mind that WWE will be losing an estimated $40 million a year with the move to USA by no longer getting advertising money, some are questioning why the WWE isn't thinking in the long-term sense right now.

On a related note, as of this week, a good amount of tickets still remain for the WWE No Mercy PPV on October 9th in Houston, Texas.

After making mention of the match this past weekend on WWE.com and later pulling it, it was confirmed on Monday Night RAW last night that a 30 Minute Iron Man Match would be taking place next week on October 3rd between Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle.

Other matches confirmed for the show next Monday includes John Cena defending the WWE Championship against Eric Bischoff, Matt Hardy vs. Edge in a "e;Money in the Bank - Loser Leaves RAW"e; Ladder Match and Trish Stratus & Ashley vs. Victoria, Torrie Wilson & Candice in a Bra & Panties Match. Mick Foley will appear in The Piper's Pit with Roddy Piper, while Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Triple H and many others will be returning to WWE programming.

It was also announced in a backstage segment involving Vince McMahon, Eric Bischoff and Teddy Long that some SmackDown superstars would be competing at RAW's "e;Homecoming"e; event next Monday on October 3rd. Those scheduled to take part in the show will be announced on SmackDown this week. We will have official word following the tapings tonight in Laredo, Texas
